[UWAB] Meeting Minutes and Reminders

Good morning girls! Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting last night. It was great to see everyone discussing our plans for the fall festival, now aptly named the Great Pumpkin Festival. It will be held *October 28th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Klaus Courtyard*. Please submit all entries to me or Alissa before October 1st. We will vote for the logo shortly after. - Disney karaoke night will be next *Friday, September 30th from 6:00 to 8:00pm in Klaus 1447*. Come and sing along to old and new Disney favorites! Food will be provided. - The Grace Hopper scholarship survey has been released. Fill it out at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/R9RZWNY to be considered. Good afternoon, girls! I hope that everyone was able to learn something at the Google Tech Talk last week. This is a reminder that we are having a meeting *tomorrow at 6:30pm in CoC 354*. We are having our officer elections and discussing our plans for the Fall Festival, which is coming up at the end of October! Come with ideas for planning and advertising. This is a great networking event and the speakers are really good. I recommend that you attend and nominate people for the awards. Candace Mitchell won last year. The Women's Leadership Conference offers monetary awards for the undergraduate and graduate nominees, and distinguished awards for the female Faculty, Staff, and Alumni The 2011 Women's Leadership Conference is in search of extraordinary women leaders within the Georgia Tech Community! Nomination forms for our Women of Distinction are now open for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni. We will be honoring women who have had a significant impact in our community through leadership and who exemplify our 2011 conference theme of "Radiate from Within; Shine on the World." Hey girls! I hope that all of you are having a great career fair week. I was glad to see a few of you who showed up to the resume blitz out on the floor. You all did fantastically! For those who did not get a chance to go, try to stop by tomorrow. Career fair experience is invaluable, especially earlier in your college career. I wanted to remind everyone that we have a meeting this *Thursday, September 15th* at *6:30pm* in *CoC 354*. However, we will *not be having elections*due to several conflicts with other events. Good morning girls! First of all, thank you to those I saw at the IBM breakfast this morning. It was early, but I thought that all of the panelists had something to teach us about their career path and personal experience at IBM. [UWAB] Meetings, IBM, and Harris! Oh my!

Hello girls! Other than our *meeting *tomorrow, *Thursday *at *6:30pm *in *CoC 354*, I wanted to let you know about a few professional events that could really benefit you all in going. This *Friday, September 9th*, *IBM *will be hosting a breakfast with the Society of Women Engineers at the *Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons 125 *from *7:30 *to *9:00am*. I know it's early, but there will be a host of speakers there from IBM who want to talk to and get to know you all over a little breakfast. We also have our *resume workshop* this *Friday *at *4:00pm *in *CoC 354*. The event is listed on our Women@CC Google calendar. If you would like access, please email me with your email and I can share the calendar with you. Lastly, *Harris *is coming onto campus to host an information session on *Sunday *at *6pm* in the* Student Success Center*. Stop by with your resume to learn about the company or to talk to a Women@CC alum, Christina Chatham, who will be there representing Harris. They will also be at the career fair next week.
